Accessibility
It Not Work is committed to making our website usable by everyone, regardless of ability, technology, or circumstance.
Accessibility Statement
It Not Work is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level.

Screen Reader
Semantic HTML and ARIA labels for compatibility with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Color Contrast
All text meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal, 3:1 for large).
Resizable Text
Text scales correctly up to 200% zoom without loss of functionality.
Responsive Design
Works across all screen sizes, orientations, and input devices.
Alt Text
Descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images and icons.
Accessibility Features
Full Keyboard Access
Every interactive element β buttons, links, forms, and menus β can be navigated and activated using only a keyboard. Focus indicators are clearly visible.
β ImplementedScreen Reader Optimized
We use semantic HTML5 elements (nav, main, article, section), ARIA roles, and live regions so screen reader users receive meaningful, logical content in the correct order.
β ImplementedNo Flashing Content
We do not use content that flashes more than 3 times per second to protect users who may be sensitive to photosensitive seizures.
β ImplementedSkip Navigation Link
A "Skip to main content" link is available for keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation elements and jump directly to page content.
β ImplementedForm Labels & Error Messages
All form inputs have associated labels. Validation errors are clearly described in text and associated with the relevant input field.
β ImplementedMotion Preferences
We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query, disabling non-essential animations for users who have configured this preference in their OS.
β ImplementedAccessibility Standards
We measure our accessibility against the following standards and guidelines:
WCAG 2.1 β Level AA
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA is our primary target. This covers perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness.
Target StandardSection 508
We aim to comply with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act where applicable to ensure access for federal agency users and contractors.
FollowedEN 301 549
European Standard for ICT accessibility, aligned with WCAG 2.1, applied to ensure compliance with EU Web Accessibility Directive.
FollowedShopify Accessibility
We leverage Shopify's built-in accessibility foundations and extend them with additional ARIA attributes and semantic markup throughout our custom theme.
Platform BaselineKnown Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to resolve these issues:
Legacy PDF Documents
Some older PDFs in our help center may lack proper tagging for screen readers. We are updating these documents progressively. Estimated completion: Q3 2025.
Third-Party Embeds
Some embedded content (social media widgets, payment iframes) is outside our direct control. We work with vendors to improve accessibility where possible.
Video Captions
A small number of older promotional videos do not yet have captions. All new video content is published with captions. Retroactive captioning is ongoing.
We publish an updated accessibility audit report annually. Last audit: January 2025.
