Design Guide
Everything you need to know to format your files for perfect printing.
1 File Requirements
File Format
We only accept .PNG files. This format supports transparency which is required for apparel printing.
Resolution
Your file must be exactly 150 DPI. Higher DPI will not improve print quality and may cause upload errors.
Color Space
Save your file in sRGB color space. CMYK files will not upload correctly.
Dimensions
Recommended size is 4500 x 5400 px. This is large enough to scale nicely across all products.
2 Best Practices
Use Transparent Backgrounds
Delete the background layer before exporting to PNG. If you leave a white background, a white square will be printed on the shirt.
Check Contrast
Make sure your design works on both light and dark shirts. If your design is pure black, it will be invisible on black apparel.
Crop to Edges
Crop the transparent space around your design. This ensures the design is centered perfectly when our system auto-places it on products.
Avoid Semi-Transparency
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing does not handle semi-transparent pixels (like soft drop shadows or glowing edges) well. They often print as solid white or grey blotches. Use halftones instead.
